On the world map, Pakistan occupies a unique position in as much as it was the melting pot of ancient civilizations dating back to half a million years. The contribution of ancient cultures and heritage had a great impact which is being unfolded by scientists and archaeologists with the passage of time. The great variety of artifacts collected from the glacial deposits of the area traversed by the Indus and Sowan Rivers consisting of a variety of hand and cutting tools confirms habitation by peoples of the stone age which gradually transformed the region into one of culture, learning and heritage which is much sought of by archaeologists and scientists to arrive at a link for the transformation of society over a period of time.

Excavations at Harrapa Amri, Mohenjodaro, Kot Diji, Sarai Khola and other sites have established that as early as 2350 B.C. the pre historic people of Indus valley developed sophisticated methods of construction, indulging in works of art and culture and an improved form of agriculture to sustain themselves. This land is a paradise for historians, archaeologists and nature lovers to whet their appetite. Salient Features: the group will visit all the important cities of Pakistan. IVC: The Indus Valley civilization was entirely unknown until 1921, when excavations in what would become Pakistan revealed the cities of Harappa and Mohenjo Daro (shown here). This mysterious culture emerged nearly 4,500 years ago and thrived for a thousand years, profiting from the highly fertile lands of the Indus River floodplain and trade with the civilizations of nearby Mesopotamia.
